Sports Psychology

The psychology of sports starts with the individual. Very often this individual is the COACH.

Let us focus on the athlete for a minute:

What do they want?

it is just to win the game or to improve their abilities so that they maximize personal bests?.

How to maximize performance naturally when their is so much temptation to use artificial means.

Nutrition, Exercise and rest. Daily life balance. Positive mental attitude.

All these things help to give that little extra to the professional sports person.

But what about something else? Something that athletes feel some days but not others. Being in 'the zone'.

What is The Zone.

There comes a point in a game or in training when the athlete feels the legs or arms move quicker, faster, stronger... as if someone else was making everything work just a little bit better. This is The Zone and athletes want to reach this place as much as possible.

Movement feels lighter and quicker. Tiredness slips away. This cannot be reached using drugs or through normal activity. It has to be reached as a state of consciousness.

Consciously altering someones mental state changes the energy level of the person not just mentally but physically. Like a placebo effect but tangible.

This is what we can do to help athletes. give them the extra 10% that is needed.

It starts from within but access to universal energy all around us drawing it inside to create our own energy boost.

Accessing the Zone from a 'Higher' place.

We help the athlete to reach this state of being using a number of very simple tools:

1. Brain Training.

2. Mental Suggestion.

3, Autonomic Responses.

4. Energy Work.

We have seen proven results from this combination of techniques.

Top Down Approach:

Sporting confidence comes from the coaching staff.

A coach needs to use the carrot and the stick to get the best from athletes. The stick to push and the carrot to pull.

As in all things just one way doesn't work it has to be multi tiered.

We are developing our own sports psychology system, to improve the performance of athletes and are looking for test subjects.
