Shamans

Shamanism

Shamanism is a state of spiritual being, but it is not a religion Per Se. It is first of all spiritual or religious 'terms' to describe the connection between us and our 'higher consciousness'. The energy that is all around us and part of us is the focus of Shamanism. Our very life force. Everything we are stems from the life energy we have and we would be nothing without it. To a Shaman, everything that exists has something to teach us. The moon, the sun, the planets all have life energy that can share with us. The vision you have in moonlight won’t be the same as those you have under the sun, because the wisdom of the moon and sun are different.

Many people can become a Shaman but for those that choose to be, it becomes a life purpose and a passion rather than a lifestyle. You live the life rather than preach it.

Shamans, like many spiritual beings, tend to specialize according to their own mix of unique skills and experiences. Many are adventurers and travelers, some are warriors both in the human sense as well as the spiritual. Ghengis Khan is an example of a well known, old school style of shaman from Mongolia in eastern Europe. A warrior figure who conquered much of that region and spread the word of enlightenment through a special gift of 'Prophecy' brought about by inducing trance and meditation.
