Karma

Karma is described essentially as the action one takes either good or bad that has consequences for the self either in this life or the next.

Karma can be accumulated on the soul level or from your behavior in past lives. Universal laws establish proper ways of behavior that all souls must adhere to. Behaving outside these parameters indicates your need for education and lessons.

On the human level, all of us need to transform the part of ourselves that has behaved badly so that we will never choose to behave that way again. As we accomplish this, we also transform the corresponding part of our soul.

Negative patterns need to be transformed until the desire to behave badly no longer exists in our soul. For example, if we have a tendency to be physically abusive to others, we will need to reeducate that part of ourselves until the mere thought of hurting someone no longer comes into our mind.

No one is exempt from karma.

As you once were so shall you be again if you do not learn.

Karmic Lessons:

There are seven categories of lessons some of which are:

Fear, value of independence, understanding limitations, cooperation with self, laziness, abuse of freedom, abuse of sex and sexuality, compassion and understanding, selfishness, indecisiveness. Abusive and controlling behavior. Greed. Envy. Sloth.

These categories are listed below. Start with Lesson One and work down.

Some misunderstandings of karma

Karmic Debt.

Example:

In a past life, a person was incessantly cruel to other people.

In this lifetime, the soul chose to experience excessive physical abuse in order to experience and understand the cruelty it had doled out in the past.

Karmic Illness.

Lessons not learnt are paid forward. In a karmic sense this means lifetime after lifetime. If you abuse your position or injure another Karma represents judgment upon your actions.

Abusing someone born with less than you may result in an injury to you that takes away your mobility or capability.

In the next life you may be born with the same or similar disability and have to learn the hard way that judgment is not given to you.

Karmic Expressions.

Judge not less ye be judged.

Do not hold to fear or fear will overcome you.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Divine creator provides enough to satisfy every man's needs, but not every man's greed.

The world says: "You have needs -- satisfy them. You have as much right as the rich and the mighty. Don't hesitate to satisfy your needs; indeed, expand your needs and demand more." This is the worldly doctrine of today. And they believe that this is freedom. The result for the rich is isolation and suicide, for the poor, envy and murder. - Dostoyevsky

Greed, envy, sloth, pride and gluttony: these are not vices anymore. No, these are marketing tools. Lust is our way of life. Envy is just a nudge towards another sale. Even in our relationships we consume each other, each of us looking for what we can get out of the other. Our appetites are often satisfied at the expense of those around us. In a dog-eat-dog world we lose part of our humanity.

Karmic Tests

If you fail to learn something you need to be able to change at a soul level then you will have to repeat the lesson in the next life until you get it right and learn it.

Karmic Contract

At the beginning of each lifetime a contract is made. The lessons you need to learn are chosen and then you have to fulfill them. If you don't then you have to redo them in the next life. Your contract, your challenges and blocks are written. They are added to your timeline. Your astrological chart. Your Palm and face and numerology sequence. These all contain the information of your soul contract. the good qualities you have learnt and the bad qualities you need to overcome.

Karmic Oversight

There is a council of ascended masters overseeing the progress of everyone. they do this by delegating responsibility to spirit guides and other help comes in from relatives who have passed over.

Karmic Enlightenment

In a past life, a woman was stunningly beautiful. She flaunted her beauty, making others feel inferior and less valuable because they did not share her beauty. Vanity was her only god. In this lifetime she is born physically ugly. She is to learn that depth of soul is more important than the surface self, and that the feelings and well-being of others is important too.

In a past life, a genius is commissioned to create inventions. He is self-centered and cruel, with no consideration for others. He only cared about his creations and inventions, at the cost of great suffering. In this lifetime, he is again a genius but can never get any ideas off the ground. Everyone uses his genius to develop their own highly successful projects, taking full credit with no recognition given to the genius.

In a past life, a soul savagely and ruthlessly undermines other souls to gain power just for power's sake. Once he has this power, he does not use it properly. In this earthly lifetime, he is impassioned about being a powerful leader all of his life and believes he has great revolutionary ideas. However, no one will listen to him. He is obsessed and ineffective, as he learns that power is to be used to help others, not simply to have for our ego's own sake.

In a past life, a soul is a spoiled brat who gets everything she wants. In this lifetime she gets everything taken away. Though she works very hard to get ahead, it never works. She is divorced and left with a slew of uncooperative kids and little means for support.

In a past life, a soul believes that he is all knowing. To humble this tendency in his current life, he never receives any recognition that he has knowledge or wisdom. No one ever seeks him out for answers. The answers he offers are discounted and brushed aside.

In a past life, a lady rises above and beyond the call of duty earning grace. In this lifetime, the accrued grace opens many doors effortlessly for her.

  1. Choose one persistent issue in your life. Take several minutes to wonder what kind of behavior in your past, in a past life, or in a soul pattern could draw to you such a recurring issue.
  2. If you meditate, use that time to ponder this issue. It may take several sittings to unlock the answer.
  3. Consider behavior that would be the opposite of your current issue. Picture yourself behaving that way and see if any part of you resonates with that behavior. This isn't about good or bad. It is about changes and soul growth.
  4. Once you uncover the negative pattern drawing in the persistent issue, consider what you need to do in order to change the negative behavior.
  5. When you are ready, take on another issue and repeat this process.
