The Awakening
We are all born from the same place. Created. From Light and Love. The Source, the creators place of existence.
This is where we come from. All our lives are dedicated to find the way back. Our search for the meaning of life and our curiosity as a species drives us to fill the void missing within. We strive and reach for knowledge and wisdom. Empowering us and then enabling us to find our way back.
This is a journey that lasts many lifetimes and we have to experience everything in order to evolve.
This first series of lessons are about the basics. The root of everything. Raw drive, Determination, Passion.
We are nothing if we do not feel. Our passions and emotions drive us and compel us to do things. Whether its to climb the corporate ladder or to change the world a little we need to be driven within. To a varying degree we all are motivated to do things in our lives. To learn through education, to read books, newspapers, watch news and documentaries. To take part in sports and school activities, to go on holidays to new and different places.
We achieve this to a varying degree. The important aspect of this lesson is to try and achieve whatever it is that makes you a better person.
Knowledge, experiences, challenges - it is different for everyone.
Without a doubt the desire to learn to understand to grow is built into our very core. Our nature is to develop ourselves. Without this need we would not have evolved to be the primary species on our world.
Where would we be without this ambition?
The starting point of all lessons is the desire to know. Only those with that desire are able to start the process of personal growth.
This desire does not appear at random it comes when we are ready. Life is meaningless unless we embrace the "love" of everything that is possible.

Unconditional love
When we open ourselves fully to love and the essence it brings to our soul we are ready for any challenge or situation we have in our lives.
To engage our heart in true universal love we need a 'motivation' and understanding.
This starts from some simple basic truths.
Love is all around us. It permeates the world and the universe as a form of energy that we access when our vibrations are high.

People are more alike than different
One of the great things i found while traveling the world is that you begin to notice that people want and need the same things out of life. Families everywhere in India, America, Africa want the same things for their children as we do. To be loved, to have food on the table, a roof over their heads, clean water to drink, education, medicine, opportunities to work and so on.
Sometimes we get so distracted by the exterior differences we have that we forget that all of us share 99.99% of the same DNA.
We are actually more alike than we are different. When we recognize this we can realize that there is no justification for thinking that one person or group of people is superior to another.
We are all looking to find meaning in our life.

Emotional Mirrors: People are reflections for each other
When we see a character trait in another person and react to it emotionally, what we see in that person is a reflection of what we know exists within ourselves. However, if we observe something in another without an emotional reaction, that is just an observation. This is a hard truth as we all resist the idea that we are at fault or to blame for what we see in others.
It raises peoples defences' immediately as we feel criticisms of others are justified. It is only when we begin to dig deep inside that we realize there is a lot of truth to the idea that other people are just mirrors for one another.
When we react to hate (negative emotions) in another, it is a reflection of the hate that lives within us. When we judge someone for being egotistical, then that is a reflection of the idea that maybe we know we are full of arrogance too.
Lets change negative emotions into positive emotions:
If you see beauty in another, it is a reflection of your beauty too.
See someone as graceful and that means there is an element of grace within you.
Love someone and you are loved in return.
Sounds simple but this one very hard self analysis lesson is very powerful in personal growth.
Fear is toxic to our soul and our life
Fear poisons us because it is so limiting. The motivation behind most emotional drama is rooted in fear. Racism is a manifestation of fear. Sexual violence is a tool of fear. Bullying is a tool of fear. People act selfishly and greedily as if there are limited resources in the world and we are all in a race to get these resources. We even phrase this behavior as: “it’s a dog-eat-dog world".
This pollutes our mind with ideas that create our own misery. Fear leads to greed, violence, hatred. The world has abundant resources that can be shared but hundreds of millions starve while 20% of us throw food away daily. The only person who gets in our way is us and our ego. The ego speaks the language of fear and that is what motivates it at every moment.
We are afraid of not being good enough, smart enough, thin enough. There is no reason to feel that way. We are good enough, we just think we are not. Fear is the poison in our mind that keeps us stuck.
Life has no fixed formula to be successful
Life is what we make out of it. Often we are born into a family where we are expected to follow in the 'traditions' of the family. Work, career etc. We try to fit ourselves into what is expected of us. Instilled in us by parents, friends, counselors or teachers. The beauty of life, however, is that there is no mold. We each have the ability to live a life that is based on how we feel and see things. As much as we are all alike, we are also unique in our talents and skills. We don't have a set path or even a limit to the number of paths we can take. There are no limits except those we impose upon ourselves.
The minute we free ourselves from self-imposed limitations, we are free to achieve anything we want.
Life is about unconditional loving
The lesson of self love is the apex of all other life lessons. It is the root around which everything else grows. It is the spiritual journey through which all other journeys are realized. There is a wholeness that calls to all people, we are born with its song ringing in our ears, and yet we come to know it first by its absence when we are torn out from the womb.
This is the point of awakening. The point at which we stop dead in our tracks and decide that the fight is over. A kind of serenity is born of this acceptance. We see that “happily ever after” is never a place that can be found in the world that surrounds us. It is only a state that becomes from within. We chase it as if it’s a drug. We chase it out of need because the absence of it within us is so deep and vacuous it becomes a kind of living torture.
We become addicts to a drug we can never find when the answer is with us all along. What is this wholeness you ask? This wholeness is love. This wholeness is love of the self. The Universe/God/The Force operates from a perspective of love and mercy. Nothing gets in the way of love. Fear is a powerful emotion but love is even more powerful.
Love is what enables people to perform miracles and wonders. Self love is the desire for the highest good of the self. Expressing self love means to recognize one's own unwavering worth and deserving which cannot be added to or taken away from, merely obscured or highlighted and then to subsequently choose actions and thoughts which align with the highest good for the self.
Perhaps it is most important to note that on a Vibrational level, self love is the state of total non resistance to the self.
And so in order to begin loving yourself, you may have to first look for the ways that you are resisting yourself and resisting where you are. Look for ways that you can identify that you are not showing love to yourself, and from that understanding, begin to form a picture of what new decisions you could make. The journey to self love begins with honoring yourself and who you really are.
This means you must be brave enough to tell the highest truth, which is that we are powerful beings capable of creating joy and success or pain and suffering in our lives. We are not destined to be victims.
We have the power to choose, and this power is both the greatest responsibility we have and the greatest opportunity. Many of us have an untrue, self limiting core belief that if we forgive ourselves, we are allowing or pardoning weakness and thus are out of control of our own actions. This is scary to most of us, because we believe that if we are out of control of our own actions, we will hurt other people. This is something we believe because somewhere in our early lives, we adopted the untrue belief that something is inherently wrong with us and that we are inherently “bad”.
So withholding forgiveness from one's self can become a form of control over one's self that becomes like punishment, which we are taught is virtuous and “good”. In this way, withholding forgiveness from one’s self becomes like self abuse.
It is because of this that to forgive one’s self, one must look for proof of and cultivate trust in one’s own inherent goodness.
All of us upon this earth know what love is. We may not know it as a cerebral concept, but we all know it inherently. The reason we know it is because at our most basic level, we are it. We, in our physical bodies, are not separate from source energy.
We are instead extensions of source energy and source energy is the exact vibrational equivalent of love.
People do things for their own reasons (Selfish)
Very few people intentionally do something out of stupidity or malice. Instead of condemning someone for what they do, try to understand why they do what they do. Often, when we understand why someone behaves in the manner that they do, it enables us to feel compassion for them and understand them better. It allows us to be able to help them because we can understand their perception of reality. A good friend (or psychic) will be able to see these reasons and help to understand them.
I am my Creator
There is a Higher Power at work at all times. Universal energy surrounds us. Each of us has the 'spark' of the Divine inside of us. This means that we are the creator and destroyer of our own reality. Everything we do creates a ripple effect. No action goes unnoticed or without consequence. We have the power to decide how to experience life. We can either experience it with love and joy or with misery. We all have suffered and we all have had our share of pain.
The key is to take those experiences, understand them AND learn from them. We are here to grow and learn. We are not meant to be stuck and lament about our misery at all times. We have the power to create our reality. So learn to choose wisely.
So in effect we are our own GOD, in his image and creation.
Far superior to a formal education, life is our greatest teacher, sending us down winding paths to help us gain a profound awareness of our potential. We may be tested, but by recognizing the truth of our tests and applying necessary wisdom, we can triumph over every one of life's challenges.
Seven of those lessons stand out as lessons that are critically important to share:
Your calling can become your idol if you let it.
Without a vision people and organizations really do perish.
Leaving your comfort zone will always make you feel weak and small.
Every human has feet of clay, complete trust and confidence should only be placed in God.
The critical balance of compassion and accountability.
How to forgive, even when the act seems unforgivable.
Brokenness creates humility. Thankfulness sustains humility.
