Bones and Runes
Originally carved from actual bones of animals. Now they are made from a variety of materials. Inscribed with a simple symbol unlike Tarot cards which have complex imagery.
Bones are used in a similar style to tarot.
A bag containing a number of bones often 20 or more. They are shaken and the questioner asks a question before drawing one or more bones from the bag.
Those of you familiar with tarot will understand.
The inscriptions have individual meanings interpreted by the reader.
Bones and Runes date back thousands of years and from different cultures.
It appears that the use of this system developed and evolved in many parts of the world at the same time without cross contamination and they developed very similarly.
