Our bodies work through a process of exchange. For example we eat food and drink water. Our bodies then process this and 'exchange' it for energy we need to live and grow.
Our system has been designed and refined like this for countless millenia. Our genetic evolution has improved this process by discarding parts we don't need (appendix for example) and altering other parts we need more of (the brain, hands).
Unfortunately for us we live in a world where we have to compete for resources and sustenance. Other lifeforms want what we want. Small lifeforms invade our bodies to steal this. We have devised methods of dealing with larger lifeforms by cooperating with each other (hunting, pesticides, tranquilisers, fire) for example.
While we try to control the environment we live in we are also, increasingly, becoming victim to our own efforts to establish superiority on our shared Planet.
I want to focus this article however on the more difficult and 'esoteric' aspects of our symbiotic lifestyle.
How is it that we evolve physically and mentally yet we do not seem to do so emotionally or spiritually?
We understand when we are not well physically. Our body gives us immediate and testable feedback. Tiredness, vomiting, coughing, sneezing, diarrheia, weight loss/gain.
We also understand when we are not well mentally. Erratic behavior, inability to understand, aberrant speech patterns, impulsive or compulsive behavior.
Diagnose-able, treatable, manageable, containable with treatments evolving over time.
But what about our emotions and our spirituality?
We can all see across the world a wide variety of emotional behavior that does not make sense to everyone (conformity). Differing vocal expressions (crying, shouting, screaming) absence of expression (internalisation, withdrawal), no consensus or uniformity across borders but more of a cultural localisation we see from the evolution of our physical and mental growth.
Expressions of emotion from the loss of someone for example.
Pictures of women wailing openly in groups (middle east), hymns and prayers in formal settings (church funerals), burial rituals in coffins or large buildings.Cremation, face down, face up clothed bodies, mummification.
In some respects education and access to resources (clean water/food/heat/shelter) give us many of the differences physically and mentally so i am going to largely ignore location differences as factors. Instead i will focus purely on the esoteric and metaphysical expressions and information we get.
I have researched this extensively, questioning many psychics and colleagues from all across the world.
It is apparent that the way we access our gifts is just as different as the messages and information we receive.
Hands on or hands off healing, sounds heard, images shown or seen, visualizations in the mind or actually around someone aura). the myriad ways we access and receive information crosses cultural boundaries. Our 'third eye' acts as a means of transmitting and receiving thoughts, ideas, images and sounds. We process this information differently, explain it differently according to our personal backgrounds, but the underlying process is the same. Yet barely understood.
How do we interprete these images so differently or receive different images that mean the same thing? or even mean something completely opposite?
There are a few explanations for this.
1. Our cultural backgrounds. This plays a huge part. Our own experiences of life cloud, alter, influence our perceptions.
2. Personal learning. We are still evolving as individuals every day so our knowledge is not perfect or complete.
3. Our gifts are not opened fully. This can take much longer for some people and some gifts cannot be opened by many.
4. Bad teachers/students. Failure to learn your own process but following others. Spiritual development is INDIVIDUAL
5. Lack of Consensus. There is no worldwide consensus on good teaching practices in the Spiritual community.
6. Evolutionary Development. Our Process of evolution as a species is not complete or even highly advanced.
It is not possible for a process of testing or verification to be undertaken as their is no scientific and definitive way to test. Assumptions, judgments, personal reasoning, validation of accuracy are all less important than the process of understanding how we get our spiritual information.
So how do we get our information?
