The Steps to Spiritual Enlightenment

Over the last few years we have pondered upon how best to explain our purpose in life and how we fit into the grand purpose of divine (heaven/god).

Here are our thoughts on this:

There are many lessons to learn in life before we can return to “source”and that can't be done in just one lifetime or even a few.

Each lifetime contains a potential “major” lesson and a series of possible “minor” lessons.

If the “major” lesson is not completed (learnt) we can still progress by fulfilling some of the “minor” ones.

What are the Lessons?

Step by step we learn what is needed to go to the creator (also “Heaven, Divine, Source”).

We can only do this by becoming a complete person, wise and knowledgeable.

This knowledge is gained from learning about ourselves, understanding our role/purpose in life and completing a number of key lessons to enrich ourselves spiritually.

Many belief systems quantify the number of lessons differently. The number of lessons therefore is up to your own beliefs to a large extent however we believe there are 7 “major” lesson categories.

Each “major” lesson category contains a series of small lessons that make up the whole although many lessons can cross over multiple categories.

Each lifetime we choose to learn one major lesson but we can still make progress with the others on the way.

These (7 steps) lessons are talked about by many psychics/mediums/channelers and religious systems across the world.

We can try to summarize these lesson groups as follows and in no particular order:

Growth – the ability to learn through interaction, undertaking study and being able to change.

Awareness – of spirituality and life beyond the ordinary (spiritual awakening/accessing our inner buddha).

Reasoning – of thinking through personal growth and esoteric matters (understanding - reasoned spirituality).

Empathy/Intuition – feelings and instincts, allowing our subconscious to filter through (emotional perceptions). Soul/Heart Connection.

Communication – to learn we must first listen then change and adapt from what we take in. Gifted people, spirit guides, reading, observing others and many more aspects of communication on our journey through life (relationship with others/respect for traditions/service to others). Expressing Truth.

Spirituality – following a path, learning about our spirit guides and and the spirit world allowing them to help us as only they know how (belief). Channeling Intuition.

Enlightenment – develop and grow beyond our physical bodies (religion literally means “to return to the source”). Oneness with divine.

Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) – This is the result of learning from the above. Not all can learn and follow the path. Only those with the foresight and opportunity to learn can find the way (spiritual intelligence = abilities and gifts + expressing through thoughts actions and attitude).

Left brain = intellectual

right brain = emotional

whole brain = spiritual intelligence.

As you can see as you embrace the process it gets more detailed and complicated as you progress up the categories. It should not be easy to complete or it would not be worth it

These are very simplistic descriptions of what is a lengthy and involving process. It is only important for us to embrace this process. As soon as we do that help appears to individually guide us.

Understanding Spirits and their role in our lives.

Anyone can have direct contact with the “deities” or spirits and no mediators are required.

Benefits of working with spirits:

Spirits bring joy into our lives when we work with them.

Spiritual Presence bestows a certain sacred presence feeling.

Spirits are a conduit to “Ecstasy” or Oneness.

Spirits fulfill our dreams.

Spirits save us when we are in trouble.

Spirits heal us when conventional medicine fails.

Who or what are Spirits?

Spirits are powerful independent entities who resist our efforts to define them. Changing names, personalities and responsibilities even masquerading as each other. One spirit can have many names. One name can be used by many spirits. Spirits can even share the same image. It is not possible to define them and they prefer it that way. They Communicate with us in ways that we understand and assume identities and forms that we can relate to best.

Spirits interact with us for their own purposes. A variety of reasons for what they do but spirits offer results as they please and when they choose. If anything we are their lab rats or “toys” testing us and our relationship with them.

Helpful steps to spiritual growth and awareness

meditation – central to cultivating your spirit or psyche as well as contemplation or introspection, reflecting on your thoughts and beliefs.

Connect with nature – get back in tune with nature, recognise your connection to nature.

Invoke the sense of smell – largely at a subconscious level it helps with the state of relaxation.

Sound – for meditation and relaxation. Choose your sounds carefully for relaxation and soothing the soul.

Express yourself – communicate with other spiritual people and share your experiences as we all develop individually. Show tolerance and humility for others who are at different stages of their development.

Read – especially books with a spiritual slant including poetry. Filter it to find what seems right for you. Don't dismiss it if one thing disagrees with your beliefs.

Listen a little more – turn off the Tv etc. Listen to the sounds of background noise (silence) and try to listen to your inner voice.

Spiritual growth is organic and comes from daily practice and learning. Trial and error is not wrong its only a learning curve.

Keep listening and learning. Your purpose will become clear to you too. Keep up the good work :)
